Episode 30 Summary- It Finally Happened…

In this episode of “Songs That Don’t Suck” hosted by Mark Bradbourne, he reflects on a significant period in his life during the late 1990s when he was introduced to various bands and artists through the fan base of a band called Moxy Fruvous. He talks about how he fell in love with Moxy Fruvous after hearing their CD “Live Noise” and became a dedicated fan, attending multiple shows across different cities.

Through the Moxy Fruvous fan community, he discovered other bands like Great Big Sea, Carbon Leaf, Guster, The Paperboys, Eddie from Ohio, The Nields, Arrogant Worms, Ellis Paul, Vance Gilbert, Sarah Sleen, and DaVinci’s Notebook. He reminisces about the concerts, friendships, and music discoveries that defined that era of his life.

While many of these bands have since disbanded, their music remains meaningful to him, and he encourages listeners to explore their catalogs on platforms like Spotify and Archive.org, where live recordings can be found. Mark fondly remembers this period of musical discovery and the lasting connections he made with fellow fans, even years later.
